Family Devotional Guide – May 23
What comes to your mind when you hear the word resurrection? Take a moment and discuss this word with your family members for a moment. One thing that has to come to your mind when you think of the word resurrection is death. One thing we know for sure is that there is no resurrection without death.
We all know and love someone who has passed away. Even if you are young, you have family members or family friends you have heard stories about that you will never meet on this earth. As sad as this reality is, this is what makes the hope of resurrection such great news! The resurrection gives hope to those who miss loved ones.
Our text this Sunday was a super interesting one. If you need a reminder, take a moment and reread Ezekiel 37:1-14. This bizarre story gives us good news! God can give life to those who have passed away. Nothing is impossible for God! Even death is not final for those who are known and loved by God. Isn’t this fantastic news! Those loved ones of yours who trusted in Christ as their Lord and Savior will one day be resurrected. Even though we don’t fully understand what resurrection will look like or feel like, we should rejoice today that it is a reality! Death is not the end for those who believe that Jesus is their savior! Do you believe this good news!
As a family, couple, or as friends, discuss the questions below.
