The purpose of the FFC Senior's Ministry is to engage adults nearing the age of retirement and beyond in meaningful activities which support FFC's mission statement of developing devoted followers of Jesus Christ who celebrate, grow, and serve for the glory of God. Consistent with the intent of FFC's mission statement, the senior's ministry will focus on three primary goals: fellowship, learning, and serving.
Fellowshipping together
Our focus is to engage participants in sharing time together and getting to know one another in meaningful and helpful ways. We trust these times together will enhance our joy in the Lord, better acquaint us with one another, and encourage our walk with the Lord.
Learning together
We seem to never outgrow our need to learn. Our ever-changing world continues to present us with challenges (both exciting and sometimes frustrating), requiring us to learn more. Doing this together is both instructive and mutually encouraging. Often, we do this learning at Lunch and Learns with qualified individuals presenting information for our growth and understanding.
Serving together
As God leads, we will enjoy the camaraderie of serving together. Our approach will be bathed in prayer, trusting God for meaningful, timely, and impactful activities that affect the lives of others.
