I grew up in TN and Julie in MI. We were married in 1988, and moved to Ankeny in 1996. We have four children (and nine grandchildren), and as a family we love to play anything competitive, eat at hole-in-the-wall places, and quiz each other about useless trivia.
We have been part of FFC since its inception, and deeply love what God has done—and is doing—in this body of believers. I do most of the preaching and teaching here at First Family, and Julie serves in areas of counseling, hospitality, and children’s ministry.
My formal education consists of a B.A. in Bible/Theology from Tennessee Temple University, a M.M. in Ministry from Piedmont International University, and a Ph.D. in Leadership from Carolina University.
