Matt Maestas has served as a Church Planting Catalyst for the SEND Network of the North American Mission Board since the Fall of 2010. Prior to serving with NAMB, Matt and his wife Jessica planted a church in 2007 in the Kansas City metro area. Matt and Jessica have been married since November of 2004, and together they have 5 Children.

Prior to moving to Kansas City in the Fall of 2005, Matt served as Associate Pastor/Minister of Students at Calvary Baptist Church in Valley Center, Kansas. Matt grew up in picturesque Green River, Wyoming, where he used to ride his bike across the railroad bridge until his sister ratted him out. He came to know Jesus through his grandmother’s investment in his life and the ministry of a local church.

Matt enjoys spending time with his family, being outside, pursuing hard physical challenges, reading, and all things coffee. He holds an MDiv. From Midwestern Seminary, two B.A. Degrees from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas and an A.A. from Casper College in Casper, Wyoming.

Matt’s responsibilities at Fellowship West are overseeing bible studies, Fellowship Groups, and the disciple-maker mission of our church. His  desire is to serve within the local church in its mission to become an Expression of Christ in Community to transform the neighborhood and the world.
