Discussion/Reflection Questions
Define the two commands children are given in respect to their parents, obey and honor. How are those words similar and how are they different?
What does it look like to honor your parents still today? How is this honoring to the Lord?
How do the promises “it may go well with you” and “you may have a long life in the land” pertain to your children today?
Fathers, are you provoking your children to anger or are you biblically disciplining them? What is the difference? How do we discipline our children well?
Parents, what does it look like to “bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord?” How are you speaking the gospel to the hearts of your children?
