Introduction Questions
1. Who is the greatest prayer warrior that you know?
2. What is a prayer request that you have prayed for a long time?
3. What are you currently praying for your family members? (Children, parents, siblings, etc.)
Observation Questions
1. What are the three most important things that Paul prayed for when it came to the folks in Ephesus? (See verses 18–19 for help.)
2. Do you ever get weary of praying the same thing over and over again? Look at verses 19–20. Why should we trust that God can and wants to answer our prayers?
3. Based upon what we learn in verses 22–23, why should we continue to pray boldly? What do we know about Christ and the world from these verses?
4. What about Sunday’s sermon stuck out to you or challenged you? What did you learn, love, or were you reminded of?
Personal Reflection Questions
1. Do your prayers reflect that of Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:15–23? Do you need to change the priority of your prayers? How should they change?
2. Who are you praying for that would come to faith in Christ? Who are you praying for that would grow in their knowledge of God? Why should we continue to pray these prayers?
3. Which of these three do you need to become more passionate about?
a. The promise of his eternal life.
b. The value of his church around us.
c. The unexplainable yet visible work in us.
4. In light of our text this week and our sermon on Sunday, how might we respond in obedience? What do you think God is asking you to do?
