About the Transition
As you probably know, for the past several years we’ve used a church database we call FFC Connect to manage giving, events, groups, and member/attender profiles. The service we’ve been using is called Church Community Builder (CCB). As we sought to do more with this system, we ran into limitations with CCB. Due to this, we’ve begun the transition to a new service called Planning Center Online. PCO’s wide range of features allows us to do much more, and be more efficient and effective with what our database can do.
While most of the changes with our database switch are behind the scenes, one thing that will noticeably affect some of our members and regular attenders is Giving. The way you give through our website or app will largely remain unchanged. However, if you have a repeating gift set up through our current system, it will be necessary for you to create a new recurring gift in Planning Center, effective October 1. On September 30, we will shut down giving through our old system, so you can choose to let your existing gift expire on 9/30, or you can log into the current system to cancel that gift yourself.
Because we are changing systems mid-year, you will have two financial statements for 2019. An email with a link to your January-September giving statement will be sent in October, and/or you can contact Jen Coleman at [email protected] for assistance.
In addition to scheduling an online gift, this is also a great time to update any of your personal info that may have recently changed. If you’ll go to firstfamily.churchcenter.com/login, you can create your login, update your information, and manage your giving.
Thanks so much for being flexible with us during this transition! The link below will help you set up your giving through Planning Center.
