Intro

As Moses ascends the mountain, God gives detailed instructions for the tabernacle and its furnishings, revealing how His holy presence will dwell among His people. Every design, measurement, and piece of furniture carries theological meaning, pointing to God’s beauty, order, and accessibility through atonement.

The tabernacle becomes a visible reminder that the God of heaven desires to live in the midst of His covenant people.

Quote

“God is not worshiped rightly unless He is worshiped as He commands.” –John Piper

Gospel Connection

The tabernacle foreshadows Jesus, who is the true dwelling place of God among us. Every detail points forward to Christ, where God’s presence would dwell fully in human form. The tabernacle also reminds us that God desires to be near His people, not distant from them. Through Jesus, believers themselves become temples of the Holy Spirit, carrying God’s presence into the world.

Response

Pray: Lord, shape my worship according to Your truth, and help my life reflect Your holiness and glory.

Do: Evaluate your worship habits and align them more intentionally with Scripture.
