On May 27, we will be recognizing our seniors in high school in our services. We don’t want to miss anyone! If your child is a senior and you would like them recognized in the service, please contact Julie Day at .
This Summer, we’ll be starting a new series as a follow-up to the evangelism series we did in January called Intentional Discipleship for Normal People. Our goal in this series is to see every FFCer embrace a continuously multiplying lifestyle of discipleship on both ends—discipling and being discipled. This is an audacious goal, but one that is commanded by Jesus in Matthew, modeled by the apostles in Acts, and patterned by church elders in 2 Timothy.
This fall, an FFC missions team will be heading to East Africa to encourage our long-term FFC partners there and join them in strategic prayer for their nation. If you’re interested in going on the trip or just learning more, contact David Davenport at .
The elders are excited to recommend Dave Nelson as an elder candidate of First Family Church. In accordance with our bylaws, the elders welcome your feedback and affirmation within the next 3 weeks. If you know of any biblical reason Dave is not qualified for this role, please communicate your concerns to an elder (1 Timothy 3:8-13). If no biblical reason can be determined concerning Dave’s qualification, the elders will affirm him as an elder April 8.
On Monday, March 26th from 6–8pm, we’ll be hosting a Taco Fundraiser for the FFC Bondurant missions teams to Chicago and Honduras. Pastor Carlos’ tacos are second to none, so make sure you come and support these trips and enjoy some great tacos!
Easter is right around the corner! Easter week begins on Palm Sunday, March 25th, with our services focusing on the coming of the Lord Jesus as Messiah. Also, our kids will join us in the services as they wave palm branches as the people of Israel did for Jesus. On Friday, March 30th at 7pm, we’ll have our Good Friday Night of Worship, where we’ll dwell on the crucified Christ in a night of prayer and worship while preparing for the glorious Easter resurrection. Easter week culminates on Resurrection Sunday, when we’ll celebrate and praise the risen Lord Jesus! Sunrise service with breakfast at 7am, then regular service times of 8:30am and 10:30am. We’ll see you there!
