During six weeks of October and November, Good News Clubs are meeting on Thursdays after school at several Ankeny elementary schools, as well as Parkview and Prairie Ridge Middle School. Please pray as God’s Word is shared and consider volunteering! If you have questions or are able to help for any of the sessions, please contact Denise Ganpat.
Join Dr. Heidi Warner, First Family Church and other parents mourning the loss of a child through miscarriage and infant loss to discover healing and hope on Friday, October 14th from 6:30–8:30. As we experienced shared grief through stories, art, music and community, our desire is that we can connect and encourage each other in the lasting hope that comes through Jesus.
FFC Young Adults is a lighthouse of FFC that seeks to establish a community of young adults in Ankeny that love Christ and desire to live for Him. All people everywhere need christian community and spiritual encouragement. Our goal is to make it easy for college age/young professionals to have these by creating an environment where these two purposes happen regularly. We would love for you to join us if you fall into this age bracket (19-30).
We meet on Monday nights at First Family Church from 7–8:30pm. At every meeting, we eat, do a Bible study, and end the night by playing either board games or card games. We would love for you to join us any Monday night you are free.
The next Newcomers Lighthouse, FFC’s 2-week small group for those new to FFC, is coming up in October! These meetings are broken up into 2 sessions, the first on October 16th and the second on the 23rd. Both will meet at 4:30pm.
Childcare can be provided at Newcomers Lighthouse; however, since it is a casual atmosphere, you are welcome to bring your children and watch them during the group, or even rotate with your spouse, utilizing another room where there are toys available. If you prefer childcare, let the Fortenberry’s know the name(s) and ages of your children.
Each week the Lighthouse covers a specific aspect of FFC, hands out some church-related material, and has plenty of Q and A time. So come with questions!
Interested? Contact Keith and Charis Fortenberry and they will be in touch with more details, or call the office at 515-965-8300 and ask for Cynthia Gregory, Pastor Todd’s admin, and she will assist you. You can also fill out the form below, and someone will be in contact with you shortly!
Join us on Wednesday, October 26th, from 6–8pm, for our Fall Festival! There will be trunk-or-treating, carnival games, popcorn, snacks, refreshments, candy (of course), photo booth, and a special showing of The Amazing Chemistry Show! You can find out more about the show at his website. Best of all, everything at our Fall Festival is FREE and community-wide! All are welcome!

FFC's 50 Days of Prayer and Fasting has a simple goal: That God would move our heart and move our hands. We'd like to accomplish this goal by having an FFCer specifically praying and fasting one day out of the 50 days, beginning October 1st and concluding on Harvest Offering on November 20th. Yes, we're looking for at least 50 FFCers willing to fast one day (or more) during the 50 days. Will you embrace this spiritual discipline as we show God our true desire is for him and him alone?
If so, simply use the form below to indicate your willingness. You'll receive an email afterwards indicating which day (i.e., day 1, day 12, day 32, etc.) we have assigned to you, as well as the date of that day. If you prefer to specify your day and date, you can do so in the form below.
We, as a church body, want to be dedicated to praying and fasting, with the passion of God moving our hearts and moving our hands.
Please join us. You can sign up below:
