THANKS FOR CHECKING US OUT. WE WANT YOU TO KNOW A LITTLE ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IF YOU JOIN US FOR A SERVICE:
Services Sundays at 8:30 & 10:30am
317 SE Magazine Road, Ankeny, IA 50023
How far in advance should you plan to arrive? Allow 15 minutes, especially if you are checking children in to FFC Kids, our children’s programs. Each of our services are about an hour and thirty minutes.
MUSIC AND WORSHIP STYLE
The Worship Style at FFC is a blend of contemporary music styles led by praise bands and vocalists to create a worship experience that is a singular part of the worship service as a whole. The focus of our Celebration Services is Jesus Christ and the clear, plain teaching of the Word of God.
In order to provide the best worship experience for everyone, we ask families with young children to take advantage of our Children’s Ministry. Every Sunday, your child can experience God’s love through creative, fun, biblical teaching.
Check-in for kids 5th grade and under begins 30 minutes prior to each service at the reception desk in the Student Center on the south side of the building, and younger children (preschool and younger) can be dropped off at their class rooms 15 minutes prior to each service after they check in at the Welcome Center.
WHAT TO WEAR
We are a casual congregation. Feel free to wear whatever you would like, but we ask that you please be respectful and dress modestly.
BRING YOUR BIBLE
Every message at FFC is based completely in the Word of God. Our pastors preach expositionally (verse-by-verse) through entire books of the Bible, but we do work through topical miniseries from time to time. For more on our teaching emphasis at First Family, see our Panorama of Preaching.
BRING AN OPEN HEART
Come expecting to hear God’s voice and learn something about Him, and yourself!
BRING A FRIEND
We encourage you to bring a guest to service. God calls us to share our faith; you never know the impact you can make on someone’s life by a simple invitation.
We've expanded our parking lot on the east side of our building, but the main entrance is on the west side. A new east entrance is coming this year. We have a handful of "Guest Only" parking spots for visitors, so please feel free to take advantage of those. Our parking lots do fill up on busy Sundays, so feel free to park on the streets or at Ankeny Sanitation to the west in their gravel lot, or at TMJ Roofing's lot to the east.
WANT TO SPEAK TO A PASTOR?
Stop by the front following the service, call the church office during the week at 515-965-8300, or email us.
New people have discovered, time and time again, that one of the best ways to launch into FFC after visiting a service or two is by joining the Newcomers Lighthouse, our small group for new people and families.
